The area

The Roost is situated in the village of Kintillo at the entrance to the beautiful Earn Valley looking out towards its wooded hills. The surrounding area is perfect for country walks, cycle rides or drives and to explore the surrounding towns and villages.

We are just 5 miles from the fair city of Perth, the gateway to the highlands, and well worth a visit.

Where to stay

Bronton Cottage Bed & Breakfast is a very high standard and is within walking distance of the restaurant.

Battledown Bed & Breakfast is just a few miles away and very pleasantly located in the neighbouring village of Forgandenny. And it is easy to get to the restaurant from there by local bus or taxi. See here for details.

In Kinross we recommend Burnbank Bed & Breakfast which specialises in breakfasts using excellent local produce.

In Perth you have a wide choice, but our diners have especially recommended the family run Arran Guest House which is within walking distance from rail and bus links. It is just a short bus ride from Perth to the stop outside the Roost. Ask for a ticket to Kintillo. See here for details.
